Monique Mai

Monique began her dancing career under the tuition of Gwenda Britten in Palmerston North at the age of 8. She trained in both the I.S.T.D. and R.A.D. Ballet Syllabi, and also studied ISTD Modern & Tap.
In 2000 she was chosen for the Junior Associate programme at the N.Z. School of Dance as well as the Accelerated Scholars Programme both held in Wellington. In 2003 Monique auditioned successfully for a placement at one of the world’s most renowned ballet schools and took up her training at Elmhurst Ballet School in the U.K, working with may renowned international tutors, gaining her Trinity College London Diploma in Professional Dance.In 2006, Monique has danced with the Birmingham Royal Ballet,  Zurich Junior Company & The National Ballet of Ireland. 

Monique has gained her Associate Diploma in I.S.T.D Ballet, and Diploma in Professional Dance from the Trinity College of London. She has also been awarded her A.R.A.D from the Royal Academy of Dance. Monique enjoys teaching and bringing her experience and knowledge into the studio
